Aidan V2 MCAT Anki Deck Free Download

The updated Aidan V2 MCAT Anki deck is available for free and contains 12,016 cards covering the major content areas tested on the MCAT. This 2026 revision takes the extremely comprehensive original Aidan deck and makes it more manageable by removing thousands of cards that the V2 creator considered outside the useful scope of MCAT preparation, correcting previously reported errors, adding newer Psychology and Sociology terminology, and removing known unsolicited AAMC spoilers.

If you are still deciding which MCAT Anki deck is right for you, I also put together a complete comparison of the most popular options so you do not have to open fifteen Reddit tabs and try to figure out how all of these decks relate to one another.

Compare All of the Best MCAT Anki Decks on AspiringMD

Choosing an MCAT Anki deck can become surprisingly stressful because there are now so many genuinely good options. MileDown is efficient and approachable, AnKing is modern and continuously updated, JackSparrow focuses on deeper recall, Captain Hook attempts to make JackSparrow easier to work through, Mr. Pankow remains a popular dedicated Psychology and Sociology option, and Aidan became known for going much deeper than almost every other premade deck.

The original Aidan deck was also intimidating. With more than 15,000 cards, it contained considerably more information than most students could realistically review during a normal three or four month study period. Even the original creator later acknowledged that the collection included excessive duplication, unnecessary details, and some errors that accumulated because of the unusual way the deck was originally created.

That is what makes Aidan V2 particularly interesting. Instead of throwing away the original deck and starting over, Reddit user u/taychans revised it after using Aidan during their own preparation and reporting a 526 MCAT score. The updated version removes more than 3,000 cards while intentionally keeping detailed and lower-yield material that could still reasonably help on the exam.

I did not personally use Aidan while preparing for my MCAT because I was not aware of the deck at the time. I used a different strategy that I will talk about later in this guide, but after looking through Aidan V2 and following the discussion surrounding both versions, I can understand why it has become one of the decks students are increasingly considering in 2026.

My goal with this guide is not to convince you that you need the largest Anki deck possible. I want to help you understand what Aidan V2 actually offers, how much time it requires, how I would fit it into an MCAT study plan, and how it compares with every other major MCAT deck I have reviewed on AspiringMD.

What Is the Aidan V2 MCAT Anki Deck?

Aidan V2 is an updated community revision of the original Aidan MCAT Anki deck.

The original Aidan deck was created by Reddit user u/aidan_MCAT and became known for being one of the most comprehensive MCAT flashcard collections available. It contains material across Biology, Biochemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology, with much of the science content organized around the Kaplan MCAT review books.

The original deck grew to approximately 15,282 cards. Part of the reason it became so large is that Aidan was using the process of making cards to learn some of the material himself. That led to cards covering extremely basic concepts, repeated concepts from different directions, detailed information from multiple resources, and some material that later users considered outside the realistic scope of the exam.

Aidan V2 was created by u/taychans, who reports using Aidan during MCAT preparation and scoring a 526. Rather than creating another competing deck from scratch, the V2 creator worked through the original collection and attempted to retain what made Aidan valuable while fixing several of its most common criticisms.

The result is a deck that is still extremely comprehensive but is substantially smaller than the original.

Who Created Aidan V2?

It is helpful to separate the two creators because the name can become confusing.

The original Aidan deck was created by u/aidan_MCAT.

Aidan V2 was revised by Reddit user u/taychans, who repeatedly credits Aidan with doing the overwhelming majority of the work involved in building the original deck.

The V2 creator reports scoring a 526 on the MCAT and explains that they used the original Aidan deck extensively during preparation. After finishing the exam, they decided to revise it because they felt that every major MCAT Anki option had a different weakness. In their assessment, AnKing did not provide as much depth as they wanted, JackSparrow cards could take too long to answer, and the original Aidan collection contained errors, unnecessary information, and AAMC spoilers.

That perspective shaped the V2 revision. The goal was not to make Aidan into a tiny high-yield deck. The goal was to make an extremely comprehensive deck more focused and easier for future students to use.

How Many Cards Are in Aidan V2?

The V2 creator reports that the updated deck contains 12,016 cards, compared with approximately 15,282 cards in the original Aidan deck.

That means more than 3,000 cards were removed.

Calling Aidan V2 “smaller” therefore needs some context. Twelve thousand cards is still an enormous flashcard collection. This is not a deck that I would recommend downloading eight weeks before your MCAT with the expectation that you will mature every card before test day.

The reduction is valuable because it makes the deck more focused, but Aidan V2 remains designed for students who want very broad content coverage and are comfortable dedicating a meaningful part of their schedule to Anki.

Why Does My Aidan V2 Deck Show Fewer Than 12,016 Cards?

Do not panic immediately if the number on your Anki home screen does not say exactly 12,016.

Students in the creator’s Reddit thread have reported seeing numbers such as approximately 8,500 new cards, 9,000 cards, or a different number of notes after importing the deck. Some of this comes from the distinction between notes and cards, while the number displayed on the main Anki screen can also depend on whether cards are suspended, already present in your collection, or being limited by your deck settings.

Anki notes and Anki cards are not always the same thing. One note can generate multiple cards, so the number of notes in the browser may be lower than the total number of cards in the deck.

If you previously imported the original Aidan deck or another version containing overlapping notes, Anki may also recognize existing material rather than importing every card as completely new.

I would therefore check the browser, suspended cards, and import summary before assuming something went wrong.

What Changed From the Original Aidan Deck?

The biggest visible change is the card count, but that is only part of the revision.

The V2 creator states that they personally removed approximately 3,000 cards they considered genuinely outside the useful scope of MCAT preparation. Importantly, they did not attempt to remove every lower-yield fact. Detailed and lower-frequency material remains throughout the deck because comprehensiveness is still one of Aidan V2’s main purposes.

The creator also searched community discussions for previously reported errors in the original Aidan deck and corrected the issues they could identify. Particular attention was given to complaints involving Chemistry and Physics cards.

Another major change involves Psychology and Sociology. The creator searched more recent Reddit discussions for behavioral science terms that students reported encountering but that older decks did not consistently include. Additional P/S cards were created, and approximately ten more terms were added in an update on January 27, 2026.

Known unsolicited AAMC spoilers were also removed. This is important because official AAMC questions are some of the most valuable practice material you have, and accidentally seeing recognizable wording or answers before taking those questions can reduce their usefulness.

Is Aidan V2 Completely Error-Free?

No community-created Anki deck should be treated as automatically error-free, including Aidan V2.

The creator made a serious effort to locate and correct errors that had already been reported online. However, a deck containing more than 12,000 cards is extraordinarily difficult for any individual creator to verify perfectly.

This is also one reason the deck was placed on AnkiHub. AnkiHub allows users to submit corrections and gives maintainers a way to continue improving cards over time. AnkiHub’s own community pages show that card-level corrections have continued to be suggested after the V2 release.

There has also been mixed community feedback. Some students have praised the revised deck for being concise and clear, while at least one later Reddit commenter reported encountering a large number of problems in the Psychology and Sociology section. I would therefore treat the deck the same way I treat every other community resource: trust it as a useful study tool, but verify anything that conflicts with Kaplan, UWorld, AAMC explanations, or another source you trust.

You do not get extra points on the MCAT for memorizing a flashcard exactly as written when the flashcard itself is wrong.

Is Aidan V2 Free?

Yes. The V2 creator has made a free Google Drive version available and explicitly stated that they did not want to charge students for access.

You can download that version here:

Download Aidan V2 From Google Drive

There is also an AnkiHub version for students who want continuing community updates.

If you simply want to download the deck and begin studying, the Google Drive version is probably the easiest place to start.

Google Drive vs. AnkiHub for Aidan V2

Both versions have advantages.

The Google Drive version is a static .apkg download. Once you import it, the cards live in your own Anki collection and you can edit them however you want.

The AnkiHub version is intended to make continuing corrections and updates easier. If a card is fixed by the maintainers, AnkiHub can distribute that revision rather than requiring everyone to download an entirely new deck.

However, students reported media and image problems with the AnkiHub version during 2026. In June, the V2 creator specifically recommended downloading from Google Drive when a user reported that images were not loading correctly through AnkiHub.

For that reason, if your images are missing, I would try the Google Drive version before spending hours troubleshooting.

What Subjects Does Aidan V2 Cover?

Aidan V2 covers the major content-based MCAT subjects, including Biology, Biochemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology.

Like other MCAT Anki decks, it is not a meaningful replacement for CARS practice. Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills depends much more on reading, argument analysis, passage interpretation, and answer-choice reasoning than factual memorization.

The science sections are largely organized around Kaplan chapters or similarly named subdecks. This makes Aidan especially convenient for students who are already working through the Kaplan MCAT books.

For Psychology and Sociology, the creator notes that the card order can correspond closely with the 300-page Khan Academy Psych/Soc document when sorted chronologically by creation date.

You can download and compare the Khan Academy documents here:

86-Page and 300-Page Khan Academy MCAT Psych/Soc Documents

Is Aidan V2 Organized by Kaplan Chapter?

For much of the science content, yes.

The deck uses subdecks with names corresponding to Kaplan chapters or closely related content areas. That means you can complete a Kaplan chapter and then begin the associated cards without activating the entire collection at once.

I strongly prefer this approach for large decks.

Opening a 12,000-card deck and randomly studying whatever appears can make MCAT content feel fragmented. Studying the cardiovascular system in Kaplan and then reviewing cardiovascular cards in Aidan gives the information a structure in your head.

You will still encounter details that Kaplan does not emphasize, but the textbook gives you the framework that makes those details easier to place.

Should Aidan V2 Replace the Kaplan Books?

I would not use it that way if you are learning substantial amounts of the material for the first time.

The V2 creator recommends reading or at least skimming Kaplan rather than using the deck completely by itself, which is consistent with advice from the original Aidan creator.

Anki is excellent at helping you retain information. It is not always excellent at giving you a coherent mental model of a subject when you have never learned that subject before.

Imagine trying to learn renal physiology through 150 disconnected flashcards without first understanding what the nephron is trying to accomplish. You might memorize which transporter appears in which segment while completely missing the larger relationship among filtration, reabsorption, secretion, osmolarity, hormones, and blood pressure.

A chapter, lecture, or good video gives you that map. Anki then keeps the pieces of the map from disappearing.

How I Would Use Aidan V2 With Kaplan

I would begin by suspending the cards I have not studied yet.

After reading a Kaplan chapter, I would unsuspend the corresponding Aidan V2 cards and introduce them over the next day or two. I would focus on understanding each card instead of trying to speed-run the entire chapter simply to increase my daily card count.

Once I had a reasonable handle on that content, I would begin practice questions.

That gives you a simple cycle:

Learn the topic → reinforce it with Aidan → apply it in questions → use mistakes to guide additional review.

The practice step matters tremendously. It is possible to become very good at recognizing familiar Anki cards while still struggling when the MCAT presents those same facts inside an unfamiliar experimental passage.

How Many Aidan V2 Cards Should You Do Per Day?

There is no magic number that works for everyone, especially with a deck this large.

In a March 2026 response, the V2 creator told a student that 100 new cards per day, completed section by section, could be a reasonable approach and noted that studying related cards together can be helpful because many of them connect with one another.

I would treat 100 as an upper-end example rather than a requirement.

The problem with new cards is that every card you add today becomes tomorrow’s review burden. One hundred new cards may feel easy during the first few days. Several weeks later, you could be reviewing hundreds of older cards while still trying to introduce another hundred.

If Anki begins taking so long that you stop doing practice questions, reduce your new-card limit.

Aidan V2 should help your MCAT preparation, not become the entire preparation.

Should You Study Aidan V2 Section by Section?

I would.

Studying related cards together gives the information context and makes it much easier to connect details with the larger topic you are learning.

If you just completed the endocrine system, it makes sense to work through those cards while the relationships among the hypothalamus, pituitary, peripheral glands, and feedback loops are still fresh.

The creator also recommended going section by section when asked about completing around 100 new cards daily.

As your preparation advances, you can gradually mix subjects more often. During initial content review, though, organization is your friend.

How Long Does Aidan V2 Take to Finish?

If you attempted all 12,016 cards, the timeline becomes substantial very quickly.

At 50 new cards per day, simply introducing the deck would take roughly eight months. At 75 per day, it would take a little over five months. At 100 per day, it would take approximately four months.

Those numbers do not include the increasing pile of scheduled reviews.

That is why I would not choose Aidan simply because somebody on Reddit said it was the most comprehensive deck. Ask yourself how much time you actually have.

With six to nine months, Aidan V2 becomes much more realistic. With two months, trying to complete everything would probably take time away from activities that matter more.

My Personal Experience With MCAT Anki

I want to be very clear about my own experience because I did not personally use Aidan while studying for my MCAT. I was not aware of the deck at the time, so I do not want to pretend that Aidan was responsible for my own preparation.

For Psychology and Sociology, I initially used the MileDown MCAT Anki deck alongside the 300-page Khan Academy Psychology and Sociology document. I liked that combination because the 300-page document gave me a broad explanation of the material while MileDown gave me a manageable way to repeatedly review terms and concepts.

About two weeks before my MCAT, I used the 86-page Khan Academy Psych/Soc document as a much quicker final review. At that point, I did not want another complete first pass through hundreds of pages. I wanted something that reminded me of the major theories and relationships without taking over the time I needed for practice exams and review.

You can read my guides to both resources here:

MileDown MCAT Anki Deck Download and Complete Guide

86-Page vs. 300-Page Khan Academy Psych/Soc Documents

If I were choosing among today’s resources, though, I would seriously consider Aidan V2.

After looking through the deck and reviewing how it was revised, I think it occupies a useful position in the current MCAT Anki landscape. It is substantially more concise than the original Aidan deck, while remaining far more comprehensive than MileDown. Current Reddit discussions also show Aidan and Aidan V2 appearing frequently in conversations about comprehensive MCAT decks, particularly alongside Captain Hook and AnKing.

That does not mean I would automatically choose Aidan for every student. If I only had three months, I would probably prefer a smaller primary deck and protect my question-bank time. If I had six or eight months and wanted extremely deep content coverage, Aidan V2 would become much more attractive.

Three YouTube Videos That Help You Use Aidan V2 Correctly

There are not many high-quality YouTube tutorials devoted specifically to Aidan V2, so I would not pretend otherwise. Fortunately, Aidan does not require a special version of Anki. What you really need to learn is how to import a large premade deck, manage new cards, use tags and subdecks, understand your review settings, and avoid creating an impossible backlog.

One of the most useful tutorials I found is Anatomy Alchemist’s “How I Used Anki To Get A 520 On The MCAT (Full Tutorial).” This is a complete MCAT-specific Anki walkthrough covering downloading Anki, importing decks, deck settings, creating cards, and useful add-ons. Even better, this exact video was recommended in an r/AnkiMCAT thread where the student was asking specifically how to set up Aidan’s deck.

The second video I would watch is The AnKing’s “How to Use Anki for the MCAT.” It is older, so some of the interface and settings have changed, but the overall strategy remains helpful. The video explains how premade MCAT decks fit into content review and discusses several of the major community decks.

The third video is particularly important if you are using a huge deck such as Aidan V2: The AnKing’s “THE ULTIMATE 2025 ANKI SETTINGS: Latest Updates, FSRS-5 & More!” The Aidan V2 creator specifically recommended AnKing’s YouTube channel and suggested that new users watch a video about FSRS. FSRS controls how Anki schedules your reviews, so understanding it can make a noticeable difference when you are managing thousands of cards.

You can also browse The AnKing YouTube channel if you get stuck on importing cards, searching tags, filtered decks, FSRS, or other Anki features. Their channel has tutorials ranging from complete beginner setup through more advanced workflows.

Aidan V2 vs. the Original Aidan MCAT Deck

For a student beginning today, I would choose Aidan V2 over the original Aidan deck unless there is a very specific reason you want the older version.

The original deck contains approximately 15,282 cards, while Aidan V2 contains 12,016. The V2 creator manually removed more than 3,000 cards considered genuinely outside the useful scope of the MCAT while leaving lower-yield material that could still plausibly help. Previously reported errors were reviewed, newer P/S terminology was added, and known unsolicited AAMC spoilers were removed.

The original deck is still an important resource because almost all of the foundational work came from Aidan. However, if you are choosing between two versions of the same basic system, I think it makes sense to start with the version that has received an additional round of editing.

The situation is different if you are already thousands of cards into the original deck. I would not throw away months of progress just because V2 exists. The V2 creator has specifically reassured students that the updated resource was not intended to force people already deep into another study plan to restart.

You can read my guide to the original deck here:

Original Aidan MCAT Anki Deck Download and Overview

Aidan V2 vs. MileDown

Aidan V2 and MileDown sit on almost opposite ends of the MCAT Anki spectrum.

MileDown contains roughly 2,900 cards and was designed around concise cloze deletions, images, and video links. It is approachable enough that many students can complete a substantial portion during a traditional three or four month MCAT study period.

Aidan V2 has more than four times as many cards. It includes substantially more detail and is far more likely to contain lower-frequency facts that a concise deck may leave out.

If your science foundation is already good and you mainly need an efficient system to keep important information fresh, I still think MileDown is a very reasonable choice. It is also the deck I personally used.

If your biggest concern is missing content and you have a long enough timeline to manage 12,000 cards responsibly, Aidan V2 offers much deeper coverage.

I would not complete both decks in full. There is too much overlapping material, and your time is better spent applying what you know through UWorld, AAMC questions, and full-length exams.

Read My Complete MileDown MCAT Anki Deck Guide

Aidan V2 vs. AnKing

AnKing is probably one of the strongest alternatives to Aidan V2 if you want a modern deck without committing to Aidan’s enormous card count.

The latest AnKing MCAT deck integrates material derived from several earlier community resources, including MileDown and updates associated with Abdullah, Coffin, and Mr. Pankow. It also benefits from AnkiHub’s collaborative update system, detailed tagging, and connections with resources such as UWorld question IDs.

Aidan V2 goes deeper.

That depth is exactly why the V2 creator preferred Aidan. They felt that AnKing did not provide enough coverage for their personal goals. At the same time, the original Aidan creator has given more conservative advice in the past, suggesting that students may be better off beginning with a smaller deck and adding Aidan cards when more depth is needed.

I think that is a helpful way to decide.

Choose AnKing when you want a modern, organized, frequently updated system that will leave more time for practice.

Choose Aidan V2 when maximum content coverage is one of your priorities and you have enough time to accept the additional daily reviews.

You can read both of my AnKing guides here:

Aidan V2 vs. JackSparrow

JackSparrow and Aidan V2 are both attractive to students who think smaller decks do not provide enough detail, but their cards feel very different.

JackSparrow relies much more heavily on traditional front-and-back recall. A card may ask you to explain an entire concept rather than filling in one missing term. That can expose whether you truly understand something, but it also makes individual reviews slower.

Aidan relies much more heavily on cloze deletion. Detailed information can therefore be split into smaller cards, which may make the deck easier to move through even though there are substantially more individual cards.

The Aidan V2 creator specifically cited JackSparrow’s lengthy cards as one of the disadvantages they were trying to avoid.

I would choose JackSparrow if you prefer being asked to reconstruct a concept from memory. I would choose Aidan V2 if you prefer smaller cloze-style prompts and want broader content coverage.

Neither deck is quick.

JackSparrow MCAT Anki Deck Download and Complete Guide

Aidan V2 vs. Captain Hook V2

Captain Hook V2 is one of the most interesting comparisons with Aidan V2 because both attempt to solve problems found in older comprehensive decks.

Captain Hook begins with the JackSparrow foundation and reformats many of those longer cards into cleaner, shorter, more visually organized answers. It also incorporates Mr. Pankow for Psychology and Sociology and includes a separate collection of important equations.

Aidan V2 takes the opposite path. Instead of beginning with JackSparrow, it begins with Aidan’s extremely large cloze-based collection and removes unnecessary cards while preserving its depth.

The practical choice comes down partly to how you like to be tested.

If you want front-and-back recall that forces you to generate a broader explanation, Captain Hook may feel better.

If you want cloze cards and extremely wide content coverage, Aidan V2 may fit your style better.

Recent MCAT discussions compare these two directly, and even the Aidan V2 creator has emphasized that there is no universal winner. Your card-style preference may matter more than small differences in coverage.

Aidan V2 vs. Coffin V2

Coffin V2 is built around the MileDown foundation rather than Aidan.

Its biggest strengths are organization and efficiency. Coffin reorganized MileDown-derived content into smaller sections and added material intended to fill gaps, making it easier to coordinate cards with a structured content review schedule.

Aidan V2 goes considerably deeper.

If you like MileDown’s concise presentation but want a more organized or expanded version, Coffin V2 may be the more comfortable choice.

If you have several months available and want flashcards to provide much more extensive content coverage, Aidan V2 is probably the stronger fit.

The difference is similar to choosing between a carefully expanded high-yield review and a much larger content encyclopedia. Neither approach is automatically better. The best choice depends on whether the additional Aidan cards improve your preparation or simply consume hours you could have spent on practice.

Aidan V2 vs. Mr. Pankow

This comparison is mainly relevant to Psychology and Sociology, because Mr. Pankow is not a complete MCAT deck.

Mr. Pankow contains approximately 2,254 cards focused on the P/S section and remains one of the most popular dedicated behavioral science decks. It pairs naturally with the Khan Academy Psych/Soc materials.

Aidan V2 contains Psychology and Sociology as part of a much larger comprehensive collection. The V2 creator also added newer terms identified through recent community discussions and explained that the P/S cards can be sorted in an order that follows the 300-page document fairly well.

If you only need help with P/S, Mr. Pankow is the simpler choice.

If you already plan to use Aidan V2 for Biology, Biochemistry, and the other sciences, you may not need to add Mr. Pankow on top of it. Doing both full P/S decks can create a substantial amount of duplication.

My own study strategy was different. I personally used MileDown with the 300-page document and then the 86-page document shortly before my exam. Looking at the resources available now, though, I can understand why someone starting fresh would consider Aidan V2’s P/S section instead.

Mr. Pankow MCAT Anki Deck Download and Overview

Aidan V2 vs. Abdullah

Abdullah is another deck for students who hear the words “maximum content coverage” and get excited rather than terrified.

The Abdullah MCAT deck is a very large composite resource combining material associated with decks such as Ortho528, MileDown, and other community collections. It has often been described as containing roughly 16,000 cards depending on the version.

Aidan V2 is somewhat smaller at 12,016 cards and has the advantage of a very recent 2026 editing process.

Both require a long timeline and good Anki habits.

If I were deciding between the two today, I would lean toward Aidan V2 largely because of the recent revision, explicit removal of unnecessary cards, removal of known AAMC spoilers, and continuing community discussion around the deck.

That does not make Abdullah a bad resource. It simply means I think Aidan V2 provides a clearer current maintenance story for a student starting now.

Abdullah’s MCAT Anki Deck Download and Complete Overview

Aidan V2 vs. Bouras

Bouras is another comprehensive community deck, but it sits in a somewhat different place than Aidan V2.

The Bouras deck combines material from multiple established MCAT resources and aims to provide broad coverage without necessarily reaching the enormous size of the original Aidan collection. It has historically appealed to students who wanted something more comprehensive than MileDown but preferred a different format from JackSparrow.

Aidan V2 is the better choice if your priority is sheer depth.

Bouras may appeal more if you want a large composite deck without committing to Aidan’s full workload.

Because both decks are substantial, I would spend thirty minutes browsing actual cards from each before making a decision. The style you enjoy answering every morning matters more than people sometimes realize.

Bouras MCAT Anki Deck Download and Guide

Aidan V2 vs. Ortho528

Ortho528 is one of the classic MCAT Anki decks and helped establish many of the study patterns later decks built upon.

It contains roughly 4,300 or more cards depending on the version and draws from older resources such as ExamKrackers, The Princeton Review, and Khan Academy. The deck uses extensive tagging and primarily cloze-style cards.

Compared with Aidan V2, Ortho528 is considerably smaller and older.

That can actually be an advantage if you want a more manageable deck and do not care about having the newest possible community revisions. However, students looking for extensive modern coverage will probably find Aidan V2 more appealing.

I would view Ortho528 today as either a classic primary deck for someone who likes its style or a secondary bank of cards to search when you need another explanation of a difficult topic.

Ortho528 MCAT Anki Deck Download and Overview

Aidan V2 vs. BenzKing

BenzKing is particularly useful for students who want their Anki workflow to follow Kaplan chapter by chapter.

Its organization makes it relatively easy to read a Kaplan section and immediately find the corresponding cards. It also provides more detail than an extremely concise high-yield deck without reaching Aidan’s massive scale.

Aidan V2 can also be coordinated with Kaplan, so the difference becomes depth and workload.

Choose BenzKing if you want a Kaplan-centered deck with a more moderate card burden.

Choose Aidan V2 if you want Kaplan organization plus considerably broader detail and have the time to manage it.

Students who are uncertain should ask themselves whether the extra thousands of Aidan cards solve a real weakness. If your content background is already strong, more cards are not automatically a better investment.

BenzKing MCAT Anki Deck Download and Kaplan-Based Overview

Aidan V2 vs. NextLevelColors

NextLevelColors is another deck that works naturally with Kaplan content review.

It provides detailed chapter organization and is more substantial than MileDown, but many cards can feel longer or more involved. That may be useful if you prefer explanations directly on the card, although it can also slow your reviews.

Aidan V2 contains considerably more total cards and tends to divide information into smaller cloze prompts.

Students who like reading a little more context on each card may prefer NextLevelColors.

Students who would rather break the details into smaller repeated prompts may prefer Aidan.

Both work best when you introduce cards as you complete the corresponding content rather than unlocking everything immediately.

NextLevelColors MCAT Anki Deck Download, Card Count, and Guide

Aidan V2 vs. Premed95

Premed95 is another comparison that mainly applies to Psychology and Sociology.

Premed95 is one of the older classic P/S decks built around Khan Academy behavioral science material. It played an important role in MCAT studying before newer decks such as Mr. Pankow became more popular.

If you are beginning from scratch today and want comprehensive behavioral science coverage, I would choose Aidan V2’s P/S section over Premed95 if you are already using Aidan for the rest of the MCAT.

If you only want a small standalone P/S resource and prefer older traditional cards, Premed95 can still be useful.

I would not complete Premed95 and Aidan V2 P/S in full. The overlap would create extra reviews without giving you a proportionate increase in knowledge.

Premed95 MCAT Anki Deck Download and Review

Aidan V2 vs. ReBopBeBop

ReBopBeBop is a classic Kaplan-based deck built around traditional question-and-answer cards.

Its biggest advantage is alignment with Kaplan chapters. The cards also require broader recall than many cloze decks, which some students prefer because it reduces the amount of context provided by the question itself.

The disadvantage is that older text-heavy cards can become slow.

Aidan V2 is much larger but divides information into smaller cloze prompts, which can make individual cards faster even though your total number of reviews may be higher.

Choose ReBopBeBop if you like traditional recall and want direct Kaplan alignment.

Choose Aidan V2 if you prefer cloze cards and substantially greater depth.

ReBopBeBop MCAT Anki Deck Download and Review

Aidan V2 vs. MCAT for Victory

MCAT for Victory is quite different from Aidan V2 because it functions more like a guided flashcard course than a giant community-built knowledge bank.

That can be attractive for students who do not want to learn complicated tags, browse thousands of suspended cards, or spend time deciding which section to activate next. The experience is more structured and approachable.

Aidan V2 gives you far more control and far greater depth, but that freedom comes with responsibility. You need to decide how quickly to move, which cards deserve your attention, and when Anki is beginning to consume too much of your schedule.

I would choose MCAT for Victory if I wanted guidance and simplicity.

I would choose Aidan V2 if I wanted a huge customizable resource and already felt comfortable using Anki.

MCAT for Victory Anki Deck and Free Flashcard Course Guide

Aidan V2 vs. the MCAT Physics Equations Anki Deck

A dedicated physics-equations deck serves a completely different purpose from Aidan V2.

Aidan includes physics content within a full comprehensive MCAT collection, while a physics equation deck is designed to repeatedly drill formulas, variables, units, and relationships.

If you are using Aidan V2 successfully, I would not automatically add a second physics deck. First see whether Aidan already gives you enough equation repetition.

A supplemental equation deck becomes useful when you identify a specific problem. If you continually forget formulas despite understanding the concepts, a small focused deck can solve that weakness without requiring you to add another complete MCAT collection.

The guiding question should always be the same: What problem does this additional deck solve?

If you cannot answer that question, you probably do not need another deck.

Which MCAT Anki Deck Is Most Similar to Aidan V2?

The closest alternatives depend on what part of Aidan appeals to you.

If you like comprehensiveness, Abdullah and Captain Hook are probably the most natural comparisons.

If you like cloze cards, AnKing provides a more streamlined modern alternative.

If you like Kaplan organization, BenzKing and NextLevelColors provide chapter-based options with a smaller workload.

If you primarily care about Psych/Soc, Mr. Pankow is a much more focused alternative.

If you want the simplest manageable deck, MileDown is still difficult to beat.

There is no perfect deck because every increase in comprehensiveness creates an increase in review time.

Is Aidan V2 Better Than Every Other MCAT Anki Deck?

I would not frame it that way.

Aidan V2 may be one of the strongest choices for maximum content coverage, especially after the 2026 revision. That does not automatically make it the strongest choice for a student who has ten weeks until test day.

Think about MCAT resources the same way you would think about exercise equipment. The most sophisticated machine in the gym is useless if it does not fit the workout you actually need.

Aidan V2 becomes valuable when its additional content addresses a real need and when you have enough time to keep the reviews under control.

For a three-month schedule, MileDown or selective AnKing may be far more practical.

For six to nine months, Aidan V2 becomes much easier to justify.

Is Aidan V2 Good for Biology and Biochemistry?

Biology and Biochemistry are probably among the strongest reasons to consider Aidan.

Aidan’s reputation for comprehensiveness developed largely because students could encounter details that smaller decks omitted. The V2 revision still preserves that approach while removing some material that was considered truly outside the scope of the exam.

In a comment discussing differences between the original and V2 B/B sections, the V2 creator estimated that approximately 500 B/B cards were removed, primarily extremely low-value details, and indicated that B/B had fewer reported errors than some other portions of the original deck.

If B/B is a weakness and you have a long timeline, Aidan V2 is worth considering.

Still, remember that the actual B/B section is heavily passage and experiment based. Knowing every enzyme in a deck will not automatically teach you to interpret a Western blot or understand why an experimental control was included.

Is Aidan V2 Good for Chemistry and Physics?

Aidan V2 contains extensive C/P content, but I would be careful about allowing Anki to dominate your C/P preparation.

The V2 creator personally told another student that they used the deck for C/P topics but felt that practice was more important, especially because C/P had been one of their weaker areas.

That matches how I would approach these sections.

Anki is useful for equations, constants, relationships, definitions, units, and conceptual distinctions. It is much less useful for developing speed with calculations or learning how to recognize which equation a passage is asking you to use.

For C/P, use Aidan to build the foundation and then spend a lot of time actually solving problems.

Is Aidan V2 Good for Psychology and Sociology?

Aidan V2 offers very extensive P/S coverage.

The creator added terms identified from recent Reddit discussions and created a miscellaneous section for newer or less commonly included concepts. They also explained that the cards can align fairly well with the 300-page Khan Academy P/S document when sorted chronologically.

This makes it interesting for students worried about encountering unfamiliar behavioral science terminology.

However, this is also a section where I would verify questionable cards carefully because later users have reported disagreements with some content.

If I were using Aidan V2 P/S, I would pair it with the 300-page document early in preparation and use the 86-page document as a faster summary later, similar to how I personally structured my own behavioral science review.

Do You Need Aidan V2 and the 300-Page Psych/Soc Document?

You do not absolutely need both, but I like combining a written resource with Anki because they accomplish different things.

The 300-page document provides context. It lets you read several related ideas together and understand how they fit into a broader theory.

Aidan then repeatedly tests the details so they stay in your memory.

If the 300-page document feels overwhelming, you can use the 86-page document or another shorter review source instead.

Do not force yourself through hundreds of pages solely because someone online did it. Your study plan should always leave enough room for application.

When Should You Start Aidan V2?

Ideally, start early.

A deck with 12,016 cards benefits tremendously from time because spaced repetition works best when information is revisited over weeks and months.

If you have six months or longer, you can gradually introduce Aidan cards alongside content review without needing an extreme daily new-card limit.

If you are three or four months out, you can still use it, but I would become more selective.

If you are one or two months from test day, I would use Aidan primarily as a searchable resource for weak topics rather than trying to finish the collection.

Your practice performance becomes more important than completion percentage as you get closer to test day.

Should You Finish Every Aidan V2 Card?

No.

This may be the most important thing I can tell you about a deck this large.

The existence of a card does not create an obligation to memorize it.

If you already know a concept extremely well, suspend the card.

If two cards are functionally testing the same thing and one is much clearer, keep the one that helps you.

If a card is so obscure that it is taking a disproportionate amount of your time, ask whether that time would be better spent reviewing an AAMC passage you missed.

Anki is customizable for a reason.

How to Use Aidan V2 With UWorld

I would start UWorld while you are still working through the deck rather than waiting until all content review is complete.

Begin with questions from subjects you have already reviewed. Over time, move toward mixed blocks so you cannot predict which concept will appear next.

When you miss a question, determine why you missed it.

If you genuinely lacked a fact, search Aidan. There may already be a card covering it.

If you knew the content but misunderstood the experiment, the solution is probably not another flashcard. You need more passage practice.

If you made a mathematical mistake, work more problems.

If you misread the stem, slow down and examine your test-taking process.

This prevents Anki from becoming your answer to every type of mistake.

Should You Make Your Own Cards While Using Aidan V2?

Yes, but selectively.

Twelve thousand premade cards already provide an enormous foundation, so I would not create another thousand cards simply because you can.

Your personal cards should come from things that you repeatedly miss.

A card based on your own misconception can be extremely memorable because you know exactly why you created it.

Keep those cards concise. Instead of copying an entire UWorld explanation, identify the reusable lesson and test that.

Over time, your personal cards may become the most valuable part of the collection.

Common Mistakes When Using Aidan V2

The biggest mistake is assuming that completing all 12,016 cards is more important than everything else.

It is not.

Another common mistake is activating too many cards during the first week. Your workload looks deceptively easy when you have almost no old reviews. The consequences arrive later.

Students can also use the deck too passively. Cloze deletions make it possible to recognize an answer from context without fully understanding the concept. When that happens, stop and explain the broader idea to yourself.

Another mistake is skipping content review completely. Even the V2 creator recommends reading or skimming a structured source such as Kaplan.

Finally, do not continually switch decks every time you read a convincing Reddit post. There will always be a new student explaining how MileDown, Aidan, Captain Hook, AnKing, or another deck helped them score well.

Consistency matters far more than downloading everything.

My Recommended Aidan V2 Study Workflow

If I were starting Aidan V2 today with several months before my MCAT, I would begin with a clean Anki profile and make a backup before importing anything.

I would then organize my content review around Kaplan or another structured resource. After completing each chapter, I would unsuspend the matching Aidan section and begin its cards.

I would initially focus more heavily on understanding content and gradually increase practice questions.

As I moved through UWorld, I would use missed questions to identify gaps. If Aidan already contained a useful card, I would flag or edit it. If it did not, I would make a concise personal card.

Once I entered the final AAMC phase, I would stop caring about whether I had completed every untouched card.

At that point, my priorities would become full-length exams, Section Banks, official questions, timing, missed-question review, and maintaining the Aidan cards that continued to expose weaknesses.

That is how I would use the deck as a tool rather than allowing the deck to become the goal itself.

Frequently Asked Questions About Aidan V2

What is Aidan V2?

Aidan V2 is a revised 2026 version of the original Aidan MCAT Anki deck. Reddit user u/taychans edited the original collection to remove unnecessary cards, correct previously reported errors, eliminate known AAMC spoilers, and add additional Psychology and Sociology material.

Who created Aidan V2?

The original Aidan deck was created by u/aidan_MCAT. Aidan V2 was revised by u/taychans, who credits Aidan for creating the overwhelming majority of the original material.

What did the Aidan V2 creator score?

The V2 creator reports scoring a 526 on the MCAT.

How many cards are in Aidan V2?

The official V2 creator post lists 12,016 cards.

How many cards were in the old Aidan deck?

The V2 creator reports that the original collection contained approximately 15,282 cards.

Why were more than 3,000 cards removed?

The V2 creator states that they removed material they considered truly outside the useful scope of MCAT preparation while deliberately retaining low-yield information that could still plausibly be tested.

Is Aidan V2 free?

Yes. The deck is available as a free Google Drive download.

Is Aidan V2 available on AnkiHub?

Yes. An AnkiHub version was also created so cards could continue receiving community corrections and updates.

Should I use the Google Drive or AnkiHub version?

The Google Drive version is the easiest free static download. AnkiHub can provide continuing updates, although users reported missing-media problems with the AnkiHub version during 2026. The creator recommended trying the Google Drive file when images were not loading.

Why are my Aidan V2 images not loading?

If you imported through AnkiHub, try downloading the Google Drive version. The creator specifically recommended this approach to a user experiencing missing images in June 2026.

Why does my deck show fewer than 12,016 cards?

The number displayed can differ because Anki distinguishes notes from cards, some cards may be suspended, your new-card limit may affect what appears on the home screen, or Anki may recognize notes already present in your collection.

Is Aidan V2 organized by Kaplan chapters?

Much of the science material is organized according to Kaplan chapters or closely corresponding topics.

Does Aidan V2 follow the 300-page P/S document?

The V2 creator explains that the P/S cards can follow the 300-page document fairly well when sorted chronologically by card creation.

Is Aidan V2 good for P/S?

It contains extensive behavioral science coverage and additional terms added during the V2 revision. However, community-created decks can still contain errors, so verify questionable cards against trusted resources.

Is Aidan V2 good for B/B?

Biology and Biochemistry are among the areas where Aidan’s extensive content coverage can be particularly valuable. The V2 creator estimated that approximately 500 cards were removed from B/B compared with the original, mainly extremely low-value material.

Is Aidan V2 good for C/P?

It can reinforce Chemistry and Physics concepts, formulas, and relationships, but even the V2 creator has emphasized prioritizing practice for C/P rather than relying too heavily on flashcards.

Is Aidan V2 better than the original Aidan deck?

For someone starting fresh today, I would generally choose V2 because it is smaller, has undergone another round of corrections, adds newer P/S material, and removes known spoilers.

Is Aidan V2 better than MileDown?

Aidan V2 is much more comprehensive, while MileDown is much more manageable. Aidan may be preferable for a long study timeline, while MileDown may be a better fit when you want to protect more time for practice.

Is Aidan V2 better than AnKing?

Aidan provides greater depth. AnKing provides a more streamlined, highly organized, continuously maintained system. Your timeline and preferred level of detail should guide the choice.

Is Aidan V2 better than JackSparrow?

Aidan primarily uses smaller cloze prompts, while JackSparrow uses more traditional free-recall cards. Students who prefer cloze cards may favor Aidan, while students who want to explain larger concepts from memory may favor JackSparrow.

Is Aidan V2 better than Captain Hook?

Both provide comprehensive review. Captain Hook is based on JackSparrow and emphasizes cleaner traditional recall cards, while Aidan V2 provides a much larger cloze-based collection. Try both card styles before committing.

Is Aidan V2 better than Mr. Pankow for Psych/Soc?

If you only need P/S, Mr. Pankow is simpler and more focused. If you are already using Aidan V2 for the rest of the MCAT, its P/S section may eliminate the need for another complete behavioral science deck.

Should I use Aidan V2 and Mr. Pankow together?

Probably not in their entirety. The amount of overlapping P/S content can create unnecessary reviews. Choose one primary behavioral science deck and supplement only when you identify a genuine gap.

Should I use Aidan V2 and MileDown together?

I would not complete both full decks. MileDown overlaps with many of the high-yield concepts Aidan covers, so doing both can turn your study schedule into repetitive flashcard review.

Should I use Aidan V2 and AnKing together?

Again, not as two complete decks. Pick one primary system and use cards from the other only if you identify a specific weakness.

Should I use Aidan V2 and Captain Hook together?

I would choose one as your main comprehensive deck. Their different card styles make each useful, but completing both would create a very large workload.

Can I finish Aidan V2 in three months?

Technically, you could introduce a very large number of cards each day, but trying to mature all 12,016 cards in three months would create an enormous review load. I would use the deck selectively on a three-month timeline.

Can I finish Aidan V2 in six months?

Six months makes the deck much more realistic, especially if you already understand some of the content and suspend cards you do not need.

Can I use Aidan V2 for content review without Kaplan?

You can, but I would not recommend it for subjects you do not already understand well. Even the deck’s creator recommends reading or skimming a structured content source.

How many new Aidan V2 cards should I do each day?

The V2 creator has suggested that around 100 new cards per day section by section can work for someone with the appropriate timeline. I would adjust this based on your daily review burden rather than treating 100 as a universal requirement.

Should I do Aidan V2 section by section?

Yes. I think this is one of the most practical approaches, and the V2 creator has also recommended it because related cards often build on one another.

Should I complete Aidan reviews every day?

Consistency is one of the main benefits of spaced repetition. Try to keep up with scheduled reviews, but reduce your new-card limit if Anki begins consuming the time you need for practice questions.

Does Aidan V2 cover CARS?

No Anki deck can replace CARS passage practice. Aidan is primarily useful for content-heavy subjects.

Is Aidan V2 enough for the MCAT?

No Anki deck is enough by itself. Pair it with content learning, UWorld or another question bank, official AAMC materials, CARS practice, full-length exams, and careful review of your mistakes.

Final Thoughts

Aidan V2 is one of the more exciting developments in the current MCAT Anki landscape because it attempts to preserve what made the original Aidan deck special without pretending that every one of its 15,000-plus cards was equally useful.

The original deck offered incredible depth, but that depth came with a real cost. More cards mean more reviews, and more reviews mean less time for passages, question banks, and full-length exams. Aidan V2 reduces the collection to 12,016 cards, removes thousands of cards its creator considered outside the useful scope of MCAT preparation, addresses previously reported errors, adds newer behavioral science material, and removes known unsolicited AAMC spoilers.

I did not personally use Aidan for my MCAT because I did not know about it at the time. My own P/S strategy involved MileDown alongside the 300-page Khan Academy document for broader content review, followed by the 86-page document as a faster refresher about two weeks before my exam. That approach worked well for how I wanted to study.

If I were choosing today, though, Aidan V2 would absolutely be on my shortlist.

What appeals to me most is not simply that it has 12,000 cards. It is that the new version is more focused than the original Aidan while still providing substantially greater depth than smaller decks such as MileDown. I also think the increasing discussion of Aidan in current MCAT communities reflects a real desire among students for something more comprehensive than the traditional high-yield decks.

Still, I would choose based on your timeline rather than hype.

If you have two or three months, you probably do not need to chase every obscure fact in a 12,000-card collection. MileDown, AnKing, or selective use of a larger deck may leave you with a much healthier balance between recall and practice.

If you have six months or longer, enjoy cloze cards, and want extremely broad content coverage, Aidan V2 becomes a much more compelling option.

Most importantly, remember why you are using Anki in the first place. The goal is not to finish the biggest deck, collect the most mature cards, or have the most impressive review heatmap. The goal is to walk into the MCAT able to remember what you have learned and apply it when the test presents that information in a completely unfamiliar way.

Use Aidan V2 to help you build that foundation, but keep doing questions, keep reviewing your mistakes, and do not be afraid to customize the deck to fit the student you actually are.
